About 150 workers in silo centers in Al-Hasakah Governorate appealed to the concerned authorities to intervene to do them justice and pay their financial dues resulting from the feeding meal allowance for two months, which is estimated at about 4.5 million Syrian pounds for each worker, for a total of 675 million Syrian pounds.

The workers explained, in a complaint they presented to the competent authorities, that the branch of the Syrian Grains Corporation in Qamishli justified the non-payment of dues by the existence of an error in the financial statements, noting that they had submitted official objections and tables containing the names of the workers and the amounts due to each of them, through the workers’ union, but their demands were rejected.

The workers demanded that an investigation be opened to determine responsibility for the error contained in the statements, review the decision to reject their objections, and work to pay their financial dues if their right to them is proven, stressing the need to address the issue in a way that guarantees their rights in accordance with approved procedures.

The workers’ demands come amid the continued delay in disbursing dues, amid calls for the relevant authorities to verify the complaint and take the necessary measures to resolve the case and provide justice to those affected.
