On Sunday, September 27, the international coalition forces, accompanied by ground forces from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), carried out an airborne operation on houses in Al-Arkan village, in the vicinity of al-Sabha town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the operation led to the arrest of a Daesh cell, whose members were hiding among civilians and working in different professions.
He said that the cell included two members working in a motorcycle repair shop, and that they had been coordinating at the highest level with other Daesh cells in the region.
The international coalition carries out occasional security operations in Deir Ezzor countryside (east of the Euphrates) to pursue Daesh remnants and cells in the region.
