The train tracks, including longitudinal iron sheets and anchor bolts, continue to be stolen in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is under the control of the SDF, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He said that an unknown group has been stealing the train tracks in the villages and towns of the western countryside of Deir Ezzor for some time, to transfer them to the iron smelting plant, collect the scrap and sell it by weight for the Fourth Division.
He added that the scrap is being transported to the Fourth Division on the other bank of the Euphrates River by smuggling it through the Al-Jia’a-Al-Baghiliah river crossing.
The 4th Division of Assad’s forces has been working for some time by collecting scrap and buying it from merchants in Deir Ezzor, to transport it to the factories of Damascus and Aleppo as a form of trade.
