The Minister of Energy, Engineer Muhammed Al-Bashir, and the Governor of Deir Ezzor, Ghassan Al-Sayyid Ahmed, held a meeting with a number of media professionals, notables, and people of the governorate, during which the conditions of basic services and ways to develop them in various sectors were discussed.
The meeting discussed Deir Ezzor’s needs in the areas of sanitation, water, electricity, oil, petroleum derivatives, etc., in addition to the challenges associated with providing job opportunities and high unemployment rates.
The residents raised a number of comments and complaints related to the level of services provided and the difficulties they face.
The Minister of Energy stressed the Ministry’s keenness to address the problems raised according to the priorities and available capabilities, noting that the people of Deir Ezzor will receive priority in job opportunities within the projects that the Ministry intends to implement in the governorate during the coming period, which will contribute to supporting local development and improving the service situation.
