With ongoing increasing temperatures that coincides with increased demand for ice cubes from locals , the General Corporation for Drinking Water, in cooperation with the Health Department of the Supply Directorate, established a committee consisting of experts from the Corporation and members of the Health Department. The committee’s mission is to conduct inspections of ice factories and a filtration plant in Deir Ezzor city.
According to the Corporation’s announcement, samples were taken from all factories and the necessary tests were conducted to ensure their suitability for consumption. The results were sent to the Health Department for necessary action. The Supply Directorate detected several violations at some factories due to their non compliance with the conditions and instructions issued by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.
The General Corporation for Drinking Water and the Supply Directorate instructed citizens to report any violations to the relevant health department, whether by street vendors or factories.
