Sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network that suspicious movements took place today, Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Iranian militia headquarters in Deir Ezzor city.
The sources confirmed that elements of Afghan nationality have been transported today by large buses from the headquarters of Fatimiyeon and Haidariyon militias south of Deir Ezzor city to a place not known to the moment. However, the source stressed that no one of these militiamen has withdrawn outside the borders of Deir Ezzor.
The sources noted that the weapons and headquarters remained the same without change, and that the afghan elements were replaced by local elements.
The reasons for transfering the elements, and the place where they have been transferred are still unknown. It is likely that the recent strikes carried out against Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor are the reason behind this sudden movement. The source also stressed that these movements were taken as security measures to avoid future air strikes against these headquarters.
