The Deir Ezzor Health Directorate has begun the complete rehabilitation of the child malnutrition department at Martyr Ahmed Hwaidi Hospital, with the aim of improving the quality of health services provided to children suffering from acute malnutrition.

This step comes as part of the directorate’s ongoing efforts to improve the health situation and enhance the readiness of specialized departments in hospitals, which contributes to improving the level of medical care provided to children in the governorate.

The hospital has recently witnessed a remarkable development in its healthcare services, as it has been equipped with 22 modern incubators equipped with the latest medical specifications, up from just eight incubators. This has contributed to enhancing capacity and improving the level of healthcare for newborns.

Specialized medical and nursing staff were also trained to handle delicate pediatric cases, which positively impacted the quality of medical services provided within the hospital.

The Health Directorate confirmed its continued implementation of rehabilitation plans for damaged health facilities, hospitals and medical centers, with the aim of improving health services provided to residents and improving the health sector in Deir Ezzor.
