An Assad regime official delegation, including the governor of Deir Ezzor and officers visited the village of al-Tareef, western Deir Ezzor to participate in condolence ceremonies of an elederly man whom they called the martyr of the country.
The martyr of the country is a nickname for the elderly man Muheisen Saleh al-Ali al-Ahmad, who lives in the Ayn-Nayel area in Lebanon. Al-Ahmad was killed as he was heading with the Assad regime Shabiha to vote for Assad in Lebanon. Lebanese young men attacked the Shabiha.
The Assad regime which called al-Ahmad the martyr of the country did not even bring his body to be buried in Syria, as he was buried in Lebanon.
