According to DeirEzzor24 Network, motorcycles have become a concern for the residents of Deir Ezzor due to their widespread presence on the city’s streets and their negative repercussions.
Our reporter said that motorcycles are crowding pedestrians in the city’s pedestrian streets and markets, particularly the Fouad Cinema Market, which is considered one of the busiest streets in Deir Ezzor.
He added that residents of Deir Ezzor fear motorcycles due to accidents, injuries, and deaths, as has occurred on several occasions. They also suffer from the disturbing noise caused by the uncontrolled use of motorcycles, especially by young men. Furthermore, motorcycles have become a means for some thieves to steal women’s handbags or cell phones from passersby.
Residents in Deir Ezzor demand that relevant authorities in Deir Ezzor find solutions to the problem of the uncontrolled use of motorcycles, including setting a specific age for driving, licensing requirements, or establishing driving laws on the city’s streets.
