DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

A local reporter of DeirEzzor24 has reported that the personnel at the military security checkpoint at the Salamah roundabout in the western part of Deir Ezzor are conducting thorough inspections of the local residents, especially those coming from areas controlled by the SDF through river crossings.

These search and inspection operations even extend to the money in possession of the residents, in search of dollars under the pretext that locals may be hiding US currency within Syrian banknotes.

These inspection operations are often accompanied by embezzlement, theft of money, and extortion of locals to pay hefty bribes.
