The Technical Services Directorate in Raqqa has begun maintenance and rehabilitation work on the Al-Salhabiya metal bridge, as part of its efforts to preserve the infrastructure and ensure the continuity of transportation.

The work included repairing the damage to a number of metal slabs that had collapsed due to repeated heavy loads. The damaged slabs were removed and replaced with new ones, in addition to carrying out the necessary reinforcement and maintenance work to ensure the safety of the bridge and raise its technical readiness.

The work concluded with the reopening of the bridge to traffic, given its great importance as it is the main crossing for heavy vehicles and trucks, especially after the old and new Raqqa bridges were out of service.
