Four members of a family from the village of Al-Mukman, Deir Ezzor’s eastern countryside, were killed yesterday after members of the Turkish Gendarmerie targeted them with live bullets, as they were attempting to cross from the  Syrian border city of Ras Al-Ain into the Turkish territory. Among the killed were children.

A source in Ras Al-Ain indicated today that, “ The family had lived in the city of Ras Al-Ain, Hasakah province, before attempting to leave the Syrian territory by crossing the border into Turkey two days ago. After being spotted by the Turkish Gendarmerie, they were immediately shot dead.”

Names of the four civilians:

  1. Awid Al-Ahmed Al-Awid
  2. Ali Awid Al-Awid
  3. Mohamed Awid Al-Awid
  4. Najma Awid Al-Awid

The Turkish Gendarmerie have also wounded another member of the family, while the four martyrs were buried in the city of Ras Al-Ain, Hasakah province, yesterday.14241482_294851777558602_727746318414566495_o
