The Syrian government is preparing to deliver monthly salaries to state employees and workers via the “Sham Cash” application, which is regarded a positive step in the country’s technological development.

A DeirEzzor24 Network reporter said that the new application will facilitate employee transfer and reduce several tasks, especially for the elderly, as they will begin receiving their financial dues without having to stand in long lines at banks. It also opens the door for them to learn how to use modern technology and benefit from additional services such as shopping and money transfers with ease.

He added that some age groups, particularly those unfamiliar with using smart applications, may face difficulties at first, but that does not diminish the importance of this step, which reduces significant effort. This is what teacher Linda al-Mandil told our reporter: “Some employees may struggle with technology or lack of familiarity with its use. But, despite this, we hope this experiment will succeed, as it can save us the toughness of waiting and facilitate our services.”

Citizens have demanded simple training courses or workshops, whether at schools or institutes targeting the elderly, to explain how to use the app.
