Today, Friday, demonstrations took place at the industrial city roundabout, north of Deir Ezzor, in refusal to a Russian convoy who crossed from the factories area, which entered Deir Ezzor city with coverage from Russian aircraft and protection from armored vehicles.
SDF forces instructed the people to avoid the convoy and not target it, at the risk of being targeted by the Russian air force, coinciding with the entry of forces from the international coalition, with the aim of calming the situation and trying to absorb the anger of the demonstrators, after they objected to the convoy, and an exchange of fire took place between the two parties.
Civilians in Deir Ezzor governorate had categorically refused the entry of Russian patrols to their areas, considering this a prelude to the entry of Assad’s militias to the area and regaining control over it.The people are afraid of the brutality and practices of the Assad militia, and their entry into Deir Ezzor, as they entered Daraa recently, which made them go out in the past weeks with demonstrations protesting against the entry of the Russians, during which they chanted slogans calling for the fall of Assad and his illegitimacy.
