Dead and wounded in an unknown attack during an iftar banquet in the countryside of Deir Ezzor

An armed attack, the largest of its kind, was carried out yesterday evening, “Wednesday”, against the house of “Nuri al-Hamish”, in the village of Fneijin, close to the town of Abu Khashab, northwest of Deir Ezzor, while he was hosting an Iftar dinner in his house.

The attack resulted in the killing of 7 people, including “Muhammad Jawhar Al-Kulaib”, “Ibrahim Muhammad Al-Adas” and “Mohammed Hamlet Al-Adas”, while 7 were also wounded with various injuries.

There were reports of the killing of “Nuri al-Hamish”, who holds the position of head of the public relations office in the SDF, while tribal forces from al-Harmushiyah and the surrounding areas headed to support the people of the village of Fneijin so that the cell withdrew by motorcycles and its members fled.

Cells believed to be affiliated with Daesh carry out attacks from time to time in areas belonging to Deir Ezzor Governorate, its desert and its countryside.
