ISIS militants managed to sneak into Assad-regime held al-Harabish neighborhood of Deir Ezzor during dawn of today and, according to local sources in the neighborhood, they executed at least seven Assad-regime officers along with some family members of regime fighters who were captured by the group in Officer Housing located in al-Harabish. Seven civilians were also executed on the street of al-Dawud in the same neighborhood.
In the meantime, ISIS shelled from al-Bughayliya, west Deir Ezzor, Assad-regime held al-Joura neighborhood in early morning of today. Mortar shells landed directly on the street of al-Sijn and no civilian casualties were recorded in the shelling.
ISIS has seized a cattle station in the city of Deir Ezzor while the Assad-regime managed after heavy clashes to recapture all buildings in al-Harabish neighbourhood that fell to a group of ISIS militants in early morning. They also succeeded in recapturing Euphrates Hotel from the group and mutilated three dead bodies of killed ISIS militants in clashes that broke out in the city of Deir Ezzor today.
Bullets were fired intensely in Deir Ezzor during a funeral for killed Assad forces in clashes against ISIS today. Among the dead militants are Fouad Mahmud Aid al-Bashi al-Abush, a member of the National Defense Militia who was killed in battles against ISIS in the village of al-Jafra, east Deir Ezzor.
