Attack and retreat operations between ISIS and the regime in the city of Deir Ezzor and the military airport are still continuing.ISIS is still attempting to gain control over the regime-held neighbourhoods of Deir Ezzor city, despite the fact that all of its previous attempts were foiled and suffered casualties.

On other hand, ISIS maintains extensive military capabilities, however, it has not been able to make any significant advances in the regime-run areas in Deir Ezzor city where the besieged regime forces are fighting to death and have acquired experiences in battles as they have been fighting against ISIS in the region for more than one year and half.

It is worth mentioning that ISIS takes revenge from the people of Deir Ezzor whenever the regime defeats it. After every failed operation, ISIS begins its campaign of random arrests and executions, which aim to terrorize the people and divert their attention from its setbacks.
