In a new plan, the Assad intelligence branches are attempting to set up young men in Deir Ezzor by spreading news on social media about the existence of smugglers who are able to smuggle young men outside Syria. The smugglers, who are intelligence members in disguise, arrange an appointement with their victims in a specefic area and they arrest them upon their arrival in the location. Afterwards, the arrestees are recuited to the SAA militias or held accountablke if they are blacklisted by the Assad regime.

The Assad intelligence is pursuing this tactic for being fully aware that most young men in Deir Ezzor, in particular, and Syria, in general, wish to leave Syria in an attempt to flee from the nightmare of mandatory miltiary service, the deplorable living conditions, the scarcity of job opportunies and exploitation of labor, as well as the control of the Assad militais and their backers over all aspects of life.

Moving to outside countries has become the hope of many people in Syria because they do not stand a chance to achieve the lowest living standards.
