Amid the strangling siege imposed by Daesh and Assad’s forces which has crippled life and increased the sufferings of the civilians during harsh winter conditions, civilians are now struggling to find ways for hitting and cooking.

D24 has taken some pictures that shed light on current primitive means utilized by civilians for cooking and heating.

Current prices of fuel in besieged Deir Ezzor:

1 liter of fuel oil 2100 SYP

1 liter of gasoline 3500 SYP

1 kg of firewood 250 SYP

Gas is unavailable

Daesh seized an oil shipment which was mistakenly dropped by Russian cargo planes over its territory. The airdropped oil shipments are the only means enabling Assad’s forces to have oil in besieged Deir Ezzor.
