Yesterday, the commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia held an emergency meeting at the militia’s new headquarters on Port Said Street in the Al-Omal neighborhood of Deir Ezzor city, according to a special source for DeirEzzor24 network.
The source told DeirEzzor24 that the reason for the meeting was to discuss an attempt to assassinate a leader of the Revolutionary Guards militia, who is the official of the Autonomous Office at Nasr Center, nicknamed “Abu Omran.”
According to the source, unknown persons planted an explosive device in Abu Omran’s car, two days ago, but he alerted it when he saw the windshield of his car shifted from its position, to inform the commander of the Revolutionary Guards militia in Deir Ezzor, and raise the militia at a high level.
This incident left local and foreign commanders of the Revolutionary Guards militia in Deir Ezzor with a state of fear and alertness.
