DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

A correspondent for DeirEzzor24 Network said that an international organization in the city of Deir Ezzor is working on the rehabilitation and maintenance of the “Jesus the King” Church.

Our correspondent added that the Assad regime required the organization to take a percentage of the funds allocated for restoration, before allowing it to start work.

It is noteworthy that the “Jesus the King” Church is one of the oldest churches in Deir Ezzor, and its current construction dates back to 1930.

It is worth noting that the churches in the city of Deir Ezzor were subjected to systematic destruction by Assad’s forces due to the use of heavy weapons and airstrikes over the past years.
