شن طيران التحالف الدولي عدة غارات جوية استهدفت أحياء مدينة الميادين بريف دير الزور الشرقي، ما أسفر عن وقوع مجزرة راح ضحيتها 4 مدنيين.
حيث أغار طيران التحالف الدولي قرابة الساعة التاسعة والنصف من مساء اليوم بأربع غارات على مدينة الميادين، استهدفت الغارة الأولى مدرسة عبدالجبار التي يقطن بها نازحين ما أدى الى أستشهاد عائلة من أبناء مدينة ديرالزور مكونة من رجل و زوجته و طفليه، كما أصيب العديد من المدنيين بجراح، إضافة إلى دمار كبير في المدرسة.
أما الغارة الثانية إستهدفت مقر الزكاة في مبنى البريد قسم تسديد الفواتير سابقاً ماتسبب بوقوع أضرار مادية، و إستهدفت الغارة الثالثة مخفر الشرطة سابقاً، والغارة الرابعة إستهدفت قسم العيادات بمشفى نوري السعيد المعروف بمشفى الاندلس حالياً ما أدى إلى وقوع دمار كبير في القسم.
وتعد مدينة الميادين التجمع الأكبر للمدنيين في المنطقة الشرقية، بعد إفراغ مدينة دير الزور، وتتعرض مدينة الميادين، لقصف شبه يومي من قبل الطيران الحربي.
