غادر عشرة أطباء مدينة الميادين شرق سوريا باتجاه الأراضي التركية خلال الشهر الأخير، ويعود سبب ذلك للمضايقات المتكررة التي تقوم بها داعش ضد الكوادر الصحية والطبية في ديرالزور بشكل عام.
وفي السياق نفسه، يعاني القطاع الصحي بديرالزور من عدة مشاكل أهمها صعوبة المعيشة تحت سيطرة داعش، واستهداف الطيران الحربي للمشافي الميدانية والمستوصفات، بالإضافة لانقطاع الدعم المادي للمشاريع الصحية من قبل المنظمات الصحية العالمية بحجة عدم القدرة على التعامل مع تنظيمات إرهابية.
كل ذلك، أحال العمل في المجال الطبي في ديرالزور إلى أمر شاق ومجهد نفسياً ومادياً، وأدى لحدوث حالة نزيف بالكوادر الصحية من أطباء وممرضين بسبب هجرتهم بعد أن ضاقت بهم السبل داخلها، بالإضافة لعدم وجود كليات أو جامعات ترفد الموجود من الكوادر بطاقات جديدة.
الجدير بالذكر، أن داعش قد أعلنت منذ عدة أشهر عن نيتها افتتاح كلية طب في ديرالزور إلا أن هذا الإعلان لم ينفّذ منه شيء حتى هذه اللحظة.
