Deir Ezzor 24 network has monitored that members of the “Omar Al-Mukhtar” militia of the Air Force Intelligence in Deir Ezzor are promoting to join the ranks of the Russian fighting forces in Ukraine among civilians, in return for attractive salaries and a short period of time.
The activities to promote volunteering in the ranks of the Russian forces coincide with the opening of the door to join the Russian Wagner militia, which attracts young men through its headquarters in several Syrian cities such as Latakia, Hama and Deir Ezzor.
The Russian forces had earlier honored the militia leader, “Jumaa Muhammad Saeed Al-Mukhtar”, while the “Al-Mukhtar” militia is known for receiving royalties and looting houses, and being involved in smuggling operations between the SDF and Assad regions, and the drug trade and prohibited materials.
The “Mukhtar” also supervises several personalities, who carry out suspicious acts, and take them as a front for illegal activities, such as arms trade, human trafficking and fuel smuggling.
