The Assad-regime Directorate of Education in coordination with the School of Health in Deir Ezzor have recently distributed vitamins pills to children who are trapped in the besieged areas of Deir Ezzor city. Those who are below the age of 15-years-old in all different schools in the besieged areas were the only beneficiaries.

The distribution of vitamins took place after Asmae al-Assad, wife of al-Assad, took an oath to provide the children in Deir Ezzor with vitamins.

Children trapped in besieged neighbourhoods of Deir Ezzor city have been going through deplorable siege conditions for more than a year and half, during which some of them starved to death, became disabled or still continue to live in hell.

This comes amid an increase in the supply missions over the besieged areas of Deir Ezzor by Russian cargo planes, which are believed to contain food shipments.  However, in all cases, Assad forces are the ones in control of the possession of these shipments by keeping most of them in their hands while civilians are supplied with a portion that is very small in quantity and does not fulfill their basic needs.
