On Saturday, October 3, the Syrian democratic forces arrested a cell working for the Russian forces in Diban town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside countryside, a source told Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The source confirmed, that the cell was given the task of recruiting young men to work on destabilizing the security and stability of Deir Ezzor areas east of the Euphrates.
The source said that the cell consisted of 5 main members, all of them were arrested, and that they had cameras and cell phones containing immoral (sexual) clips of a number of men from the region. The cell used prostitution to attract young people, film them in immoral positions, and then blackmail them with the photos and videos to obey to the cell’s requests.
This is the first time that a cell working for the Russian forces to have been captured in the eastern Euphrates, as previously, several groups and individuals working for Assad’s forces and Iranian militias were arrested in Deir Ezzor areas east of the Euphrates.
