The installation of a solar power system has been completed at four centers affiliated with the Syrian Telecommunications Company in the provincee, with the support of the Deir Ezzor Governor, as part of a plan aimed at reducing reliance on fuel and lowering operating costs.
This step aims to address the challenges related to securing the fuel necessary to operate generators, especially given the rising fuel prices and the difficulties in transportation and supply due to the remoteness of these centers from the governorate’s center.
The new system contributes to providing a stable and sustainable energy source, which positively impacts the continuity of telecommunications services and reduces the significant financial burdens the company used to bear from operating traditional generators.
This initiative comes within the broader trend of promoting the use of renewable energy in government institutions and achieving greater efficiency in energy consumption.
