The Internal Security Forces carried out a large-scale security operation in the towns of Al-Kharita, Al-Bughayliyah, and Al-Tarif, west of Deir Ezzor, as part of their ongoing efforts to pursue Daesh cells across various Syrian provinces.
The campaign resulted in the arrest of several individuals accused of belonging to the organization. It included raids on warehouses and depots that contained ammunition and weapons, as well as several hideouts with explosives that the group had used to carry out its operations. A number of suspected members working within ISIS cells in the area were also detained.
This operation comes within the framework of the continued efforts by the Internal Security Forces to dismantle the organization’s cells and eliminate any terrorist activity in different parts of Syria.
