The Electricity Directorate in Deir Ezzor has responded to complaints from residents returning to the Khasarat neighborhood, after their appeals to have electricity restored to their homes.
The company has provided electricity to homes whose owners have recently returned, following the completion of renovation work and the return of residents to live in them.
Ahmad Al-Hassan, one of the residents of the Khasarat neighborhood, confirmed that water and electricity have reached the neighborhood in direct response to residents’ demands. He stated that work crews began installing power lines and supplying electricity to dozens of residential homes starting last week.
He added that water maintenance crews worked on repairing the infrastructure, and the drinking water network was reactivated in the neighborhood after the completion of maintenance and restoration work.
Dozens of families have returned to their homes in the Khasarat neighborhood after years of displacement in Al-Jazira and northern Syria.
Several weeks ago, the DeirEzzor24 network had published residents’ appeals to the relevant authorities and highlighted their suffering due to power outages and intermittent water supply in the neighborhood.
