DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
The recent period has witnessed confusion in the ranks of Daesh and the absence of its members and cells from the scene in Deir Ezzor, a private local source told DeirEzzor24.
The source said that the organization’s recent operations in the areas east of the Euphrates were described as retaliatory and all of them targeted relatives of leaders who left the organization and fled.
He added that Daesh leadership accused leaders in the organization of treason and subjected them to strict surveillance by some of its supporters, after discovering leaders from the organization working for the SDF, which constituted a security blow to it that restricted the organization’s movements and operations.
It is noteworthy that Daesh has deployed several checkpoints in recent weeks in the SDF-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor (east of the Euphrates) in search of leaders who fled from its ranks, and accused them of being intelligence agents for the SDF after they fled to Qamishli.
