Rehabilitating the irrigation system in Al-Wasa village to support 200 agricultural families

The Agricultural Association in the village of Al-Wasa, west of Deir Ezzor, received the final works of the irrigation system rehabilitation project, in the presence of representatives of the Directorate of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor and the organization «Oxfam», along with association officials and a number of residents.

The project included the installation of 128 solar panels, with a capacity of 600 watts per panel, in addition to two inverters to integrate the system with the generator and the electrical network, as well as the construction of a 1,200-meter-long concrete fountain.

The project is expected to contribute to raising the efficiency of the irrigation system and improving water resources management, supporting agricultural activity and helping about 200 agricultural families in the village of Al-Wasa and the surrounding area.
