The «Takaful Al-Sham» organization has begun preparing to rehabilitate the General Surgical Hospital Road in the city of Al-Shehail in the Deir Ezzor countryside, as part of efforts aimed at improving the service conditions, strengthening the infrastructure, and facilitating the movement of people within the city.

Road cleaning and preparation work is scheduled to begin in the coming days, followed by full asphalting work, which will contribute to improving vehicle and pedestrian movement and facilitating access to service and educational facilities in the region.

The targeted road directly serves the General Surgical Hospital and the Al-Jarisiyah School Complex, making its rehabilitation an important step towards improving access for patients, students, educational and medical staff, in addition to alleviating the difficulties faced by residents in their daily commute.

The project comes in response to repeated demands from the residents of Al-Shehail city, who had previously appealed to the city council and Deir Ezzor governorate to intervene to rehabilitate and pave the main road, in addition to maintaining secondary roads and addressing the problem of rainwater drainage.

The suffering of residents has worsened during the recent period with the rainfall, as water accumulations, the spread of potholes, and the deterioration of road conditions have obstructed the movement of residents and vehicles, especially on the roads leading to vital facilities within the city.

Residents hope that the rehabilitation works will contribute to improving the status of roads and services in Al-Shehail, and that other projects will follow to treat secondary roads and rainwater drainage networks, ensuring the improvement of infrastructure and reducing the recurrence of service problems during the winter.
