Rehabilitation of drinking water stations in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor to enhance service stability for approximately 20,000 people

The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Deir Ezzor continues to carry out rehabilitation works for drinking water stations in the western countryside of the governorate, in cooperation with the organization « BLUMONT», with the aim of enhancing the stability of water supply in the towns of Safira Fawqani and Safira Tahtani, serving about 20 thousand people.

Ongoing work includes maintaining raw water pumping sets with a capacity of 160 m³/hour and raising 20 metres, in addition to maintaining clear water pumping sets with the same abundance and raising 75 metres.

Rehabilitation work also includes maintaining filter fittings and supplying and replacing valves, which contributes to improving operating efficiency and enhancing the performance of the pumping and filtration system.

The projects also include the implementation of a number of service constructions within the two stations, and the replacement of electrical panels (tableaux), with the aim of raising operational readiness and enhancing the reliability and stability of drinking water service in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
