The International Red Cross trains about 100 health personnel in Hasakah

The International Committee of the Red Cross carried out specialized training for health workers in the two national hospitals in the city of Hasakah and the city of Al-Shaddadi, focusing on the use of the integrated inter-agency triage tool, with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of health personnel to deal with emergency cases.

Nearly 100 health personnel have participated in the training, which was organized in groups of about 15 participants each, so far, while the committee intends to organize additional training sessions during the coming period.

The sessions dealt with developing skills in evaluating medical cases in emergency departments, and classifying patients according to the severity of their condition and the extent of their need for urgent intervention, which helps accelerate the arrival of the most urgent cases to appropriate medical care.

The International Committee of the Red Cross explained that these activities come within the framework of its efforts to support workers in the health sector through practical training and capacity building, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of emergency departments and improving the level of health services provided to patients.
