The Red Crescent supplies water stations in Deir Ezzor with solar energy systems

The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, continues the installation of solar energy systems in a number of water stations, with the aim of enhancing reliance on alternative energy sources and improving the stability of electrical supply, which will be reflected in the continuity of the stations’ operation and the quality of drinking water services provided to the residents.
The work included the installation of solar energy systems in three stations, where 164 panels with capacity of 117 kilowatts were installed in the Al-Othmaniya station, and 187 panels with a capacity of 134 kilowatts were installed in each of the Al-Jefra and Al-Meri’iyah stations.
In parallel, the company is carrying out mechanical maintenance work at the stations, which includes maintaining metal filters, replacing filter elements and sand, and coating them with food-grade epoxy, in addition to maintaining chlorine and alum pumping sets, which contributes to raising the efficiency of the stations and improving water quality and the sustainability of their operation.
