An electrical fault stops pumping water from the Olouk station and Al Hilaliyah wells

The Olouk water station in the Ras al-Ain countryside stopped pumping water, coinciding with the cessation of the Hilaliyah wells supplying the city of Qamishli, following an emergency malfunction in the power line linking Tabqa and Al-Bawab.

The Electricity Corporation’s workshops began technical inspection work to determine the location of the fault and work to address it, with the aim of restoring electricity and operating pumping stations and wells as quickly as possible.

It is expected that the temporary cessation of the pumping system will be reflected in the quantities of water reaching a number of beneficiary neighborhoods and areas, until the completion of repair work and the restoration of electricity, and then the gradual operation of pumping stations and wells.

The concerned authorities confirmed that maintenance teams are continuing to work to address the malfunction, restart the pumping system, and restore water supplies to the affected areas.
