Today, Sunday, the “We Make It More Beautiful With Our Hands” campaign was launched in the city of Deir Ezzor, with the participation of a number of service directorates and concerned authorities, with the aim of enhancing cleanliness and general appearance in the city and various areas of the governorate.
The campaign is being held under the supervision of Deir Ezzor Governorate and the City Council, with wide participation from service agencies. It includes removing rubble, removing accumulated waste, cleaning streets and parks, in addition to rehabilitating and reviving green spaces and removing random waste dumps.
Deir Ezzor City Council Chairman Yasser Al-Sheikh said that the campaign will continue for 90 days to include various areas of the governorate, explaining that the first phase started from the city center and will extend to all its neighborhoods by dividing it into six sectors.
Work began today in the neighborhoods of Al-Qusour, Ghazi Ayyash, Al-Huwaiqa, and municipal villas, and will expand successively to include the rest of the neighborhoods and areas.
Al-Sheikh pointed out that the campaign also aims to remove rubble, clean and open roads, and prepare them for rehabilitation, which contributes to improving the public scene and facilitating the movement of citizens, in addition to restoring vitality to green spaces.
For his part, the Director of Hygiene in Deir Ezzor, Rami Al-Ali, explained that the campaign witnesses the participation of the Civil Defense and the Directorates of Agriculture, Technical Services and Health, in addition to a number of other service agencies, through the provision of mechanisms, equipment and human cadres, in addition to the participation of the Ministries of Defense and Interior.
The launch of the campaign comes as a continuation of previous efforts implemented by the Deir Ezzor City Council, with the participation of organizations and associations, to remove garbage and rubble, open roads, and improve the service conditions in the city.
