Maintenance workshops affiliated with the Water Resources Directorate in Deir Ezzor (Third Sector) continue to carry out field work to maintain a number of irrigation canals, as part of an ongoing plan aimed at maintaining the readiness of irrigation networks and raising the efficiency of water delivery to agricultural lands.
The work included replacing and removing worn-out and damaged flanges, in addition to carrying out maintenance work on the canals to ensure the flow of irrigation water and reduce loss, which contributes to delivering water to farmers in the required manner and at the appropriate time.
The Directorate confirmed the continuation of maintenance work and periodic follow-up of irrigation facilities in various sectors, with the aim of improving the level of services provided, supporting the agricultural sector, and enhancing the sustainability of water resources to serve farmers in the governorate.
