Immediately after the power supply to the governorate was cut off, the technical workshops at the General Electricity Company of Deir Ezzor Governorate began tracking the fault and conducting a technical inspection of the high-voltage line (230 Kv.).
Field inspection work showed that the reason for the outage was due to the high-tension line being subjected to acts of sabotage and theft in the Sokhna area, which led to it being out of service and the electrical supply being cut off from the governorate.
The continuous power outage over the past two days has caused suffering for the people of Deir Ezzor Governorate, coinciding with the rise in temperatures that have exceeded 45 degrees Celsius.
Technical personnel continue to assess the extent of the damage and carry out the necessary repair work, in preparation for returning the line to service and resuming electrical supply as soon as possible.
