The engineering and technical cadres at the Euphrates Dam General Corporation completed periodic maintenance work for Generation Group No. (2) at the kdiran Dam, as part of preventive maintenance programs aimed at enhancing generation efficiency and ensuring the stability of the electrical system.
The work included maintaining the generator and main transformer, updating the electrical control, protection and monitoring systems, in addition to conducting precise technical tests on transformer oils and turbines, and ensuring the readiness of the fire extinguishing system in accordance with the highest safety standards.
The completion of maintenance work was followed by successful operational tests, so that the generation group was reconnected to the electrical grid, which contributes to raising production efficiency and enhancing the stability of the electrical supply.
The Ministry of Energy confirmed the continued implementation of preventive maintenance programs in various power plants, relying on national expertise. It commended the efforts of technical and engineering personnel and their role in supporting the energy sector’s infrastructure and improving the reliability of electrical service.
