The Syrian Arab Red Crescent continued its humanitarian response to families affected by the Euphrates River flood in Raqqa Governorate, by distributing food and non-food aid that benefited 587 families in a number of affected areas.

The aid included the distribution of 469 food packages and 426 canned food packags, in addition to 218 mattresses and 654 blankets, according to the needs of families in villages and towns affected by the floods.

The distribution process was implemented with the support of the European Commission Office for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECO), the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting those affected and mitigating the effects of floods in the governorate.
