The Governor of Raqqa, Mr. Abdul Rahman Salama, received the Minister of Media , Dr. Khaled Zaarour, and his accompanying delegation, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the governorate and the Ministry of Information in a way that supports development efforts and enhances Raqqa’s media presence at various levels.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the state of media work in the governorate and ways to develop it, stressing the importance of providing professional media content that reflects the specificity of Raqqa and conveys a comprehensive picture of its service, development, investment and cultural status, in addition to highlighting its historical and cultural status and its national role.
The two parties also discussed the importance of expanding media coverage of development projects and programmes, which contributes to conveying facts objectively, enhancing community awareness, and consolidating trust between institutions and citizens.
The Governor of Raqqa and the Minister of Media stressed the importance of supporting the local media and enabling it to carry out its mission as an effective partner in keeping pace with development efforts and enhancing communication with society, in a way that serves the process of stability and construction in the governorate.
