Al Mayadeen City Council has begun implementing the first phase of a project to maintain and rehabilitate the street extending from the Al Jardaq area to the club roundabout, as part of a service plan aimed at improving the infrastructure and enhancing the city’s civilized appearance.
The works include the removal of the central island and the trees located within the project path after obtaining the approval of the Forestry Department, as a result of the damage caused by the tree roots in the sewage network and the resulting repeated blockages, in addition to the impact of the branches on traffic and the level of visibility on the road.
The current phase also includes maintaining the sewage network that has been damaged for years, rehabilitating the central island using interlocking stone, carrying out lighting works, equipping waterways, and planting shrubs, which will contribute to improving the aesthetic appearance of the street.
