The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Deir Ezzor has restarted the drinking water stations in Al-Tayyana and Al-Shannan in the eastern countryside of the governorate, after completing the reassembly of the equipment and supplies that were previously dismantled as a precautionary measure to protect them from the risks of rising water levels in the Euphrates River.
The Ministry of Energy explained that the restart work included installing mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, and equipping the two stations to resume pumping safe drinking water to residents in the Al-Jazeera area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after field conditions improved and the risks that threatened the two stations decreased.
The Ministry confirmed that the maintenance teams and engineering cadres of the General Corporation for Drinking Water and Wastewater continue their readiness to deal with any developments or emergency situations, noting that efforts are continuing to ensure the stability of water services and maintain the continuity of supplying citizens with water in various areas affected by rising river levels.
