The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Raqqa Governorate confirmed the continuation of monitoring the quality of drinking water in the city of Raqqa and its countryside, following the noticeable rise in the level of the Euphrates River as a result of the large flows it witnessed during the past days.
The company explained that the specialized technical teams continue to take daily samples from various operating water stations, and conduct the necessary laboratory analyses to verify the quality and safety of the water and its freedom from any potential effects resulting from the high level, in addition to ensuring its compliance with the Syrian standard specification.
Laboratory tests showed that the water was safe and potable at all sites included in the analysis, according to the relevant teams.
The company continues monitoring and analysis work in all water tanks and stations that are still in service, while intensifying efforts around the clock to ensure that safe and clean water reaches the people in the city of Raqqa and its countryside.
