The Directorate of Education in Deir Ezzor issued a circular that includes a set of organizational procedures for examination centers, against the backdrop of the significant rise in the level of the Euphrates River and the collapse of a number of bridges connecting its banks.
The circular stipulated the approval of emergency examination centers in the city of Deir-Ezzor, Hajin, Theban, Al-Busayra and Al-Kasra complexes, in addition to allowing students to move their examination centers between the two banks according to the specified centers and in a manner consistent with their current places of residence.
The Directorate stressed the need for the students to personally visit the educational complex to which they wish to move, starting from the morning of Saturday, May 30, 2026 until the evening of Sunday, May 31, 2026, while handing over the old exam card to the registration committee to obtain a new card for the alternative center.
The Directorate stressed that the transfer procedures are limited exclusively to students moving between the two banks of the river, without allowing any transfer within one bank. It also confirmed that the decision includes students registered for the 2026 examination session only, without accepting any new registration applications, with the exams continuing on their specified dates without any postponement.
