The Children’s Specialized Hospital in Raqqa witnessed a significant increase in the number of visitors during the month of April, receiving more than 13,160 cases, an increase that exceeded double the monthly rate recorded during the past year.
The head of the hospital, Dr. Hussein Al-Okla, explained that the medical staff continues to work at full capacity to accommodate this increasing pressure and provide health services to children in various departments.
Al-Okla stated that the number of outpatient clinic visitors reached 7,163, while the ambulance department received 2,453 cases, 1,054 x-rays were performed, in addition to 1,127 laboratory tests, in addition to receiving hundreds of cases in intensive care units, incubators, and surgical operations.
He stressed that the hospital continues to provide free medical services within the available capabilities, with the aim of reducing the financial burdens on the people of the governorate and improving the level of health care provided to children.
