Today, Saturday, under the supervision of the Syrian presidential team, a new convoy carrying about 1,200 displaced families from Al-Hasakah Governorate set off towards their villages and towns in the Afrien area in the Aleppo countryside, as part of the continued return of people to their areas of origin after years of displacement.
The convoy was accompanied by units from Internal Security in Al-Hasakah and Aleppo governorates, in coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Emergencies and Disasters, which is working to provide logistical support and necessary supplies to families during the return trip.
This step comes as part of a series of organized return operations taking place in the area, as a similar convoy had set off last April, and included about 800 displaced people in Hasakah towards their areas in Afrien.
The launch of the convoy coincided with the release, on Friday, May 8, of a new batch of detainees held by the state affiliated with the ”SDF”, who were arrested during law enforcement operations, under the supervision of the presidential team and the Internal Security Command in the governorate, in implementation of the January 29 agreement.
