The Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa Governorate continues to carry out extensive maintenance work on irrigation networks, as part of its efforts to ensure the continuity of water flow to agricultural lands and enhance agricultural stability in the area.
Works included the maintenance of the Jarwat Canal, where the damage was repaired and backfilling works were carried out, which contributed to returning the canal to service and raising its operational efficiency. Technical teams also worked to reinforce a damaged site in the high-lift canal, with the aim of maintaining continuous water flow and preventing any interruptions.
In a related context, a blockage in BVC Line No. (RP3-2-11) was addressed, in addition to carrying out insulation work along 1,100 meters of drains in the areas of Kasrat Faraj, Al-Ukhaidar, and Hawi Al-Hawa outlet, which contributes to improving water drainage and reducing bottlenecks.
