The Heart and Eye Hospital in the city of Qamishli announced the completion of maintenance work on the cardiac catheterization device and its return to service, after a temporary halt resulting from a technical malfunction related to periodic maintenance work.

The hospital’s administrative director, Moaz Abdul Karim, confirmed that patients can now perform cardiac catheterization operations normally, starting today, with the device resuming work at full capacity.

Abdul Karim explained that the cost of performing the operation inside the hospital is about one million Syrian pounds, while its cost in private hospitals reaches about 150 US dollars, equivalent to about two million Syrian pounds, which makes it a less expensive option for patients.

The hospital includes two cardiac catheterization devices, through which about 300 operations are performed monthly, which contributes to meeting the needs of heart patients in the area and improving the level of medical services provided to them.
